Solar Panel Power Calculation Method
A solar AC power generation system consists of solar panels, a charge controller, an inverter, and batteries; a solar DC power generation system does not include an inverter. To ensure that a solar power generation system can provide sufficient power for the load, the components must be selected appropriately based on the power consumption of the appliance. The following calculation method uses a 100W output power system used for 6 hours per day as an example:
1. First, calculate the daily watt-hour consumption (including inverter losses). If the inverter conversion efficiency is 90%, then for a 100W output power, the actual required output power is 100W/90% = 111W. If used for 5 hours per day, the power consumption is 111W * 5 hours = 555Wh.
2. Calculating the solar panel: Assuming 6 hours of effective sunlight per day, and taking into account charging efficiency and losses during charging, the solar panel output power should be 555Wh/6 hours/70% = 130W. 70% of this is the actual power consumed by the solar panel during charging.
