Energy Storage System Protection and Control Functions
The protection and control functions are designed to ensure that the energy storage system automatically takes protective measures in abnormal situations to prevent equipment damage and ensure personnel safety. This includes monitoring and responding to system faults such as overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and overtemperature.
Overcurrent protection: When the system current exceeds a set value, the circuit is automatically disconnected to prevent equipment damage from overheating.
Overvoltage protection: When the voltage exceeds a predetermined safety level, protective measures are activated to protect the equipment and batteries.
Undervoltage protection: When the system voltage falls below a preset safety threshold, protective measures are automatically activated to prevent equipment damage due to insufficient voltage.
Overtemperature protection: Real-time monitoring of the energy storage device temperature is performed. If it exceeds a safe range, cooling measures are immediately initiated or the power is disconnected.
