Silicon wafers are the carriers of solar cells. Their quality directly determines their conversion efficiency, so incoming wafers require inspection. This process primarily measures several technical parameters of the wafers online, including surface unevenness, minority carrier lifetime, resistivity, P/N type, and microcracks. The equipment consists of automatic loading and unloading, wafer transfer, system integration, and four inspection modules. The photovoltaic wafer inspection instrument measures surface unevenness and external parameters such as wafer size and diagonal. The microcrack detection module detects internal microcracks. Two other inspection modules are included: one online test module primarily measures wafer bulk resistivity and wafer type, and the other measures minority carrier lifetime. Prior to minority carrier lifetime and resistivity testing, the wafer's diagonal and microcracks are inspected, and damaged wafers are automatically rejected. Silicon wafer inspection equipment can automatically load and unload wafers and place defective products in a fixed position, thereby improving inspection accuracy and efficiency.
