Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Module Design
1. Principle: Connecting multiple battery cells in series increases voltage, while connecting them in parallel increases capacity, meeting the voltage and capacity requirements of different energy storage systems. The BMS submodule collects voltage, current, and temperature signals from each cell to analyze its status.
2. Specific Operation: First, screen the battery cells to ensure similar initial performance. Then, assemble the cells into modules using welding or bolting methods according to the designed series and parallel connection patterns. Install the BMS submodule within the module and connect all monitoring circuits.
3. Advantage: Each module is independently monitored, enabling timely detection of cell anomalies. If a cell experiences a voltage drop due to an internal micro-short, the BMS submodule reacts within a short period of time (e.g., milliseconds) to disconnect the cell's circuit, preventing impact to other functioning cells and ensuring stable operation of the entire module and, ultimately, the entire energy storage system.
