Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Thermal Management System
Principle: A liquid cooling system uses circulating coolant to remove heat generated by the battery. A temperature sensor monitors the battery temperature in real time and provides feedback to the control system, which adjusts the coolant flow and temperature accordingly.
Specific Operation: Liquid cooling pipes are arranged between the battery modules to form a circulation loop. Coolant is pumped through the pipes, removing heat through heat exchange. Temperature sensors are installed at key locations within the battery module, such as the cell surface or module connections.
Advantages: It precisely controls battery temperature, ensuring operation within the optimal operating temperature range (generally 25-35°C). For example, when the battery temperature reaches 38°C, the system automatically increases the coolant flow rate to rapidly reduce the temperature. Compared to air cooling, liquid cooling offers more efficient heat dissipation, better maintaining battery consistency, and extending battery life.
