In May, due to strong demand and limited supply, component prices continued to rise, while inverter prices slightly decreased. According to figures from sun.store.

PV Prices
Monocrystalline silicon P-type modules: Prices increased significantly, reaching 10% to €0.086/Wp. This was mainly due to limited supply and the increasing pressure on distributors to meet the installation deadlines for residential and commercial applications.
Full black components: Prices have risen by 7%, driven by aesthetic preferences in the residential sector and seasonal demands.
Monocrystalline silicon N-type and double-sided N-type modules: Prices remain relatively stable, reflecting the dynamic balance of supply and demand in the high-efficiency module market.

Inverter Prices
Hybrid inverter: Prices decreased by 2% for both the <15kW and >15kW inverters, indicating continuous competition and sufficient inventory.
On-grid inverter: Prices decreased by 1% for small systems (1–15kW), while prices remain stable for larger systems (>15kW).
These trends highlight the differentiation pressure in the solar supply chain - component supply is tightening and costs are rising, while inverter supply is abundant, creating a buyer's market. The partner and trading director of sun.store, Filip Kierzkowski commented: "The recent price increase reflects the reduction in EU inventories. Distributors with limited inventory but strong demand are gaining pricing power, while large inventory merchants are lowering prices. Especially for full balck components, their prices have risen significantly due to the surge in the residential market and the increased demand for seasonal installations."
