Gas and battery powered

Although most power stations are powered by batteries (some can even be recharged by solar energy), natural gas power generation is often referred to as generators. However, some gas-powered models are as portable as their battery brothers.
Although gas generators are usually cheaper and can provide more energy in a longer time, they are often noisy and can only be used outdoors at a safe distance from home to prevent carbon monoxide emissions from entering the house. Gas generators are an excellent solution to temporarily restore power during power outages, but they - plus the fuel needed to run them - can be troublesome during camping trips.
Battery-powered power stations are more environmentally friendly - especially when powered by solar panels - they are quiet and can be safely used indoors. They usually come in various sizes, so you can get smaller, more portable backpacks for short camping trips or spend a day at the lake.
