1) Rated voltage:
The rated voltage of lead-acid batteries for passenger cars is 12V.

2) 20-hour rate capacity (A·h):
The product of the discharge time and the current when the battery is discharged at I20 until the terminal voltage drops to 10.5V (1.75V per charge). The nominal capacity marked on the battery case is the 20-hour rate capacity.

3) Charge acceptance (A):
A fully charged battery is discharged at a current of I0 (20-hour rate capacity/10) for 5 hours, then charged at a voltage of 14.4±0.1V for 10 minutes. The charging current should be measured at a ratio of I0 to I0 of at least 2.0.

4) Constant Voltage Water Loss (applicable to maintenance-free batteries: g):
The battery mass loss after charging at 14.40V ± 0.05V for 500 hours at a temperature of 40 ± 2°C (in water). For a 12V battery, the mass loss must not exceed 6g/A·h.

5) Low-Temperature Starting Capability:
After a fully charged battery is discharged at IS (starting current) for 60 seconds at a temperature of -18 ± 1°C. The average voltage of each cell must not be less than 1.40V.

6) Charge Retention:
After a fully charged battery is discharged at IS (starting current) for 30 seconds at a temperature of -18 ± 1°C. The average voltage of each cell must not be less than 1.20V.
