CCR, one of Brazil's largest infrastructure groups, recently announced that it has signed a 10-year photovoltaic power supply agreement with Portuguese energy company EDP. According to the agreement, EDP will provide clean electricity to 58 toll booths and user service points on the Anhanguara-Bandeirantes Expressway through distributed power generation photovoltaic projects, with an estimated annual power supply of 1.46 GWh. This cooperation will provide important support for the green energy transformation of Brazil's transportation infrastructure.

As one of Brazil's 50 largest energy consumers, CCR is efficiently promoting the application of renewable energy. CCR plans to achieve 100% renewable energy power supply for all its urban transportation, highways and airport assets by the end of 2024, one year ahead of schedule.

EDP said that Brazil's distributed photovoltaic power generation market is showing more commercial potential than centralized power generation. Previously, EDP acquired 16 distributed photovoltaic power stations in four states of Brazil from Tangipar Group, with a total installed capacity of 44.3 MW peak, further strengthening the layout of Brazil's distributed photovoltaic market.
