Recently, Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, India, announced that the state is making every effort to promote energy transformation and plans to meet 50% of electricity demand with photovoltaic power by 2030.
Yadav presided over the opening ceremony of a photovoltaic project with a total capacity of 880 megawatts in Susner, Agar-Malwa district, with a total investment of 35.2 billion Indian rupees. The project will directly supply green electricity to the Indian railway department, greatly promoting the green transformation of India's transportation system.
In addition, in order to achieve energy self-sufficiency in the agricultural sector, the Madhya Pradesh government plans to provide farmers with 100,000 photovoltaic water pumps to provide reliable power support for irrigation, reduce agricultural electricity costs and expand agricultural green electricity coverage.
