The First Batch Of Indian Photovoltaic Module Trial Production in The United States Has Started, And The US-India Energy Cooperation Has Deepened

Waaree Solar Americas Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of Indian photovoltaic giant Waaree Energies Ltd, recently launched the trial production of the first batch of photovoltaic modules at its manufacturing plant in Brookshire, Texas, becoming the first Indian company to set up a photovoltaic module manufacturing plant in the United States. The first phase of the plant has a production capacity of 1.6 GW and is scheduled to be fully operational in the coming months.
At the launch ceremony, DC Manjunath, Consul General of India in Houston, said that the partnership between India and the United States in the economic and energy fields is rapidly heating up. Waaree Solar Americas Inc. pointed out that the commissioning of the Brookshire plant is not only an important step for the company to expand into the U.S. market, but also reflects India's firm commitment to U.S. energy security and local supply chain construction.
