The Spanish listed company Endurance Motive announced the completion of the sale of its first 5.015MWh energy storage system. This equipment, which was designed and manufactured entirely at the Canet d'en Berenguer factory in Valencia, Spain, has a unit price of around €0.5 million (before tax) and will be deployed in a solar power station on the island of Gran Canaria. It is planned to be put into operation in December 2025. Endurance Motive emphasized that this is the first megawatt-level energy storage system manufactured in Spain, marking an important breakthrough in the country's autonomy in the energy storage industry chain.
The development of this battery system was entirely completed by the engineering team of Endurance Motive, using the local technology route. The company's strategy is shifting from the sole manufacturing of equipment to a full-chain service of "design - manufacture - integration - operation and maintenance", with a focus on developing utility-scale energy storage projects mixed with renewable energy power stations. Previously, the company's stock price soared by 39% on a single day due to the power outage in Spain, reflecting the urgent market demand for local energy storage solutions.
