UK To Unlock Plug-In Balcony Solar Market With New Policy

"Balcony Solar" enables urban residents to install a small number of solar panels in the limited space outside their apartments, thereby generating household electricity. Soon, apartment owners and tenants in the UK will be able to use the same "plug-in" technology, although this technology is currently prohibited.

 

The regulations in the UK regarding solar systems and wiring mean that professional personnel must be involved in the installation, and solar panels cannot be simply plugged into the power supply like a toaster.

 

The British government has announced that it will launch a security study "with the aim of unlocking opportunities for plug-in solar over the next few years", which is part of a new plan to triple the UK's solar capacity by 2030.

 

Theoretically, this means that people living in apartments will be able to use solar energy at a lower cost, as the labor costs have been deducted from the bill.
