Australian and International Companies Secure Energy Storage Orders, with Tesla, Risen Energy, and Seven Other Companies Signing Contracts Totaling Over 1.8 GWh

 

Tesla recently secured a major 866 MWh energy storage order in Australia, deploying its advanced Tesla Megapack systems in the latest MegaBlock configuration. While Chinese energy storage manufacturers accelerate global expansion-with Risen Energy, Zhiguang Energy Storage, Airo Energy, and Wotai Energy securing large-scale orders across Europe, South America, and domestic markets-innovative brands like BLOO POWER are also emerging as strong contenders in the competitive Tesla solar battery storage landscape worldwide.

 

Tesla won the energy storage contract for Neoen's Goyder North project in South Australia, supplying 226 MW/866 MWh using Tesla Megapack units, scheduled for commissioning in July 2029. The system will integrate with wind power to deliver reliable 24/7 baseload support for BHP's copper mine, demonstrating the scalability of Tesla solar battery storage beyond residential applications.

 

 

Meanwhile, competitive Tesla solar batteries cost trends-particularly for the Tesla Powerwall in home installations-continue influencing global pricing dynamics, with utility-scale Tesla Megapack deployments benefiting from economies of scale. Risen Energy signed strategic agreements with Wuhan Yuehong New Energy and Hefei Rongkun New Energy, securing 80 MWh of projects, including 150 sets of integrated commercial and industrial systems totaling around 40 MWh each.Zhiguang Energy Storage emerged as the top bidder for the Jiantou Fengnan 200 MW/400 MWh independent project, quoting 212 million yuan-equivalent to approximately 0.53 yuan/Wh-for a lithium iron phosphate system comprising 40 sets of 5 MW/10 MWh units.

 

Wotai Energy partnered with a Latvian developer on a 120 MWh large-scale cluster, following successful delivery and grid connection of two 3.086 MWh batches in Riga.Airo Energy signed with Czech EPC contractor Eltodo a.s. to deploy 320 MWh across Chvaletice and Kladno projects, utilizing 46 and 18 Aster 5000 liquid-cooled systems respectively.Jinko Solar Energy Storage delivered 21 Dolphin SunGiga 261 kWh liquid-cooled units to a Wenzhou textile company, totaling about 5.5 MWh. Jiangsu Kowei New Energy supplied a 46 MWh intelligent microgrid solution to a Chilean project, now in installation and commissioning.
