On April 10, the largest electrochemical energy storage assisted frequency regulation project in China's coal-fired power plants, a total of 60 MW electrochemical energy storage projects for units 1-2 and 6-7 of the National Energy Group Guangdong Taishan Power Plant were officially put into production and operation, further improving The comprehensive frequency regulation capability of the unit has laid a solid foundation for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to play the role of "ballast stone" and "stabilizer" in ensuring energy supply.

The project covers an area of about 6,000 square meters, adopts large-capacity lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage and high-voltage cascade technology, and installs 25 MW/25 MWh and 35 MW on the sides of No. 1-2 and No. 6-7 units respectively 1 set of watt/35 MWh auxiliary frequency modulation system, a total of 36 energy storage bins. During the trial operation, the company established a trial operation organization, compiled a trial operation technical plan, clarified the job responsibilities of each post, and formulated risk control measures. After the network test program, it finally passed the test run successfully and obtained a profit of 3.71 million yuan. After the project is officially put into operation, it can effectively improve the AGC frequency regulation level of the generator set, reduce the small power oscillation probability of the unit frequency regulation response, and further improve the reliability and safety of the power grid operation, with an annual income of up to 60 million yuan.
